Trénel Fleurie is a single-variety Gamay red wine produced by the Trénel winery in the AOC Fleurie in Beaujolais, France.
The Trénel Fleurie wine is made from clusters of vines aged over 45 years old from two plots, the first, “La Madone”, lies by the chapel of the same name and the second is in Les Moriers where pink granite sands blend with silty-clay alluvial soils that produce subtle and elegant wines.
The Gamay bunches are macerated whole for 8 days. The grapes are pressed and undergo alcoholic fermentation before being aged for 6 months in tanks. The resulting wine is bottled without clarifying, just with a light filtration.
The Fleurie denomination lies in the middle of the Beaujolais region and the name means “floral”. The wines produced here are often described as the most feminine and floral of the region.
Trénel Fleurie is undoubtedly a smooth and very pleasant wine to drink, it is perfect for those who are new to the area and the excellent value for money means you can have the chance to try Beaujolais without any difficulty.
