About Château Haut-Maillet

Château Haut-Maillet is harvested by hand, plot by plot, separating the grapes by variety and ripeness. From here, the bunches are sent to a selection table, where only those of the highest quality pass the test. The conical, thermoregulated tanks are the next stop for Château Haut-Maillet, where it will macerate (at low temperatures) and ferment. Daily pumping over and punching down, essential for colour extraction, is key to this process, along with aging in French oak barrels (30% new), where it will stabilise and finish rounding out. Finally comes the most important phase: blending, where a team of experts will decide the percentage of grapes from each vintage. Once decided, all is said and done: Château Haut-Maillet is bottled on the property, ready to continue surprising the world.

 

2022

Château Haut-Maillet 2022 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of sweet black fruits accompanied by notes of rose petals. On the palate, it is smooth, fleshy, and balanced. A medium to full-bodied wine with integrated acidity and silky tannins.
