About Barbadillo Manzanilla ÁS de Mirabrás Sumatorio
Straight from Sanlúcar comes a light and fresh Manzanilla, the perfect introduction to the world of fortified wines from the Marco de Jerez.
There, where the west wind mingles with the Atlantic's salt, Barbadillo emerges, embodying the spirit and tradition of the Marco de Jerez (Andalusia, Spain) since 1821. A family-owned winery that has spanned centuries, preserving the elegance and freshness of its wines, conveying the joy and character of Andalusia in every bottle.
Barbadillo is south and sea, it is history and future, it is the relentless pursuit of quality by Benigno Barbadillo and the passion for innovation of its winemakers. With 16 ageing wineries and a vinification plant capable of blending tradition with modernity, it is the house that brings to life Manzanilla ÁS de Mirabrás Sumatorio, reflecting the essence of the albariza terroir and the heart of its vineyards in Miraflores, Añina, Macharnudo, Campix, and Santa Lucía.
The Manzanilla ÁS de Mirabrás Sumatorio is born from a meticulous assembly of casks aged separately, in a static manner (meaning it does not come from the classic solera and criadera system), each with its own veil of flor (a fine layer of yeast that naturally forms on the wine). The result of this summation (hence the name, Sumatorio) of selected barrels is this fortified wine with the soul of a white: light, fresh, and complex, with delicate nuances reminiscent of the sea breeze and the joy of a sunny day on the Cádiz coast. Its three-year ageing imparts balance, sharpness on the palate, and a vibrant personality, ready to be served at any festive occasion or alongside tapas, seafood, and shared laughter.
Enjoying this Manzanilla is like opening a window to the south: a lively and friendly sip that invites uncomplicated toasting. Light, playful, and utterly from Cádiz, Manzanilla ÁS de Mirabrás Sumatorio is the taste of tradition blended with the freshness of youth, a combination of history, sea, and joy in every sip.
