1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes is a white wine from the DO Rías Baixas produced by the winery Palacio de Fefiñanes. This winery is located in Cambados, Pontevedra, and has been crafting wines for nearly a century, since 1928.
 

1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes is a single-variety Albariño. The vineyards are planted on granitic sandy-loam soils in the Salnés Valley.

The production of 1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes begins with a harvest during the first week of October. Once at the winery, the must undergoes fermentation in Bordeaux barrels.

After the fermentation process, the wine undergoes several months of ageing in Bordeaux barrels, with "batonnage" and in stainless steel tanks.

Fruity aromas of apple and peach, with atlantic flowers and fine herbaceous touches. A fresh and elegant well-balanced acidity.
2010 Very tasty and elegant wine with a broad and embracing attack and a dry, creamy and tasty mid palate. Its notes of ripe fruit appear along with toasted, balsamic and fresh citrus aromas. Balanced acidity and a long finish with a hint of bitterness which leaves a spicy aftertaste.

Pale golden yellow with greenish reflections. Clean and bright wine.

In the nose, this wine shows a medium intensity. Its typical varietal aromas are displayed in perfect harmony with those provided by the wood. Initially, the ripe fruit emerge showing its different nuances along with a subtle herbal aroma. When it opens up, it becomes much more complex and fills the nose with spicy notes, aromas of undergrowth and typical balsamic, vanilla and toasted notes provided by the wood.
2009 Good attack, with a huge, unctuous and creamy mid palate. The aromas of ripe fruit and citrus fill the mouth. Good acidity. Long finish with a subtle bitter hint.
