Volcanic Gin is a transparent, clean and bright gin, which on the nose offers fine aromas of citrus, herbs, balsamic touches and hints of juniper essence. The palate is smooth and unctuous, with a delicious blend of aromatic herbs and citrus. A full-bodied, elegant and subtle gin.
 

About Volcanic Gin

La Garrotxa is a region located in Girona (Spain). This is one of the most important natural parks in Europe, representing the best volcanic landscape of the Iberian Peninsula.  
 
This is the birthplace of Gin Volcanic, which is made using a triple distillation process with carefully sterilised volcanic stones, pure water from the region and a special maceration resulting from the mixture of botanicals involved in making ratafia, a traditional liqueur that is very common in the Mediterranean and is made by macerating different fruits, especially green walnuts, and a mixture of herbs and spices (mint, cloves, cinnamon, etc.).
 
To make Volcanic Gin, the first distillation involves the maceration of green walnuts, which remain in extra-fine alcohol for a year.
 
The second distillation involves the maceration of a specific set of botanicals: roots, seeds, aromatic, medicinal and floral plants (chamomile, sage, lemon verbena, ginger, juniper berries, anise, etc.) whose organoleptic properties will give the gin a special profile and complexity.
 
The final distillation is the one that gives Gin Volcanic its London Dry Gin character, and involves distilling a blend of botanicals (juniper, coriander, hops, citrus peels, etc.) that are macerated in an extra fine alcohol.
