About Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos

Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos is a red wine from the DO Navarra produced by Bodegas Zorzal in Corella, Navarra. Established in 1989 with the aim of reviving the region's indigenous grape varieties and with the philosophy that wine is born from the vineyard.

They currently own 40 hectares near the town of Fitero, where the gentle landscape forms a small oasis amidst the many vineyards in the lower Ebro basin, thus providing an added touch of freshness. Of these, 25 hectares are planted with garnacha, while the remainder features graciano and tempranillo along with white varieties such as garnacha blanca.

The garnacha vineyard used to create this Corral de los Altos is situated atop a plateau exposed to the cierzo wind on stony soils. Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos is fermented in 2000-litre French oak vats, then transferred to second-year barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent ageing for one year.
