In 1812, the distillery "La Rojeña" began establishing itself as the oldest in the Americas. Since then, José Cuervo has witnessed milestones such as the creation of the Denomination of Origin for tequila in 1974 and the inclusion of the Agave Landscape in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2006.
