Santa Tresa Rina Russa Frappato 2023 is a light and fruity red wine. On the nose, it showcases bitter cherries, peach skin, and a hint of red flowers, complemented by a subtle note of pink pepper. On the palate, it is elegant and smooth, with a medium body and gentle tannins that make it highly enjoyable. This wine is made from organically grown grapes, is vegan and sustainable, offering a fluid profile that invites enjoyment on any occasion.

About Santa Tresa Rina Russa Frappato

One cannot choose one's siblings; they are simply bestowed upon you. Growing up together entails sharing moments that shape your relationship: childhood squabbles, kept secrets, shared dreams. Therefore, when siblings manage to form a strong partnership, that bond transcends blood and becomes an unstoppable force. A compelling example of this connection is embodied by Stefano and Marina Gerilli. In 2002, these siblings embraced the challenge of revitalising the family estate Santa Tresa, situated in the heart of Sicily. With passion, vision, and collaborative effort, they not only preserved the legacy of past generations but also strived to highlight the authenticity of the wines and their profound respect for the environment.

A testament to this dedication is Santa Tresa Rina Russa Frappato, a wine that captures the essence of the Vittoria region in Sicily, with vineyards of the frappato variety located at an altitude of 240 metres on predominantly sandy soils. Its winemaking process is meticulous and respectful of the fruit: fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a 12-day maceration allows for maximum extraction of the grape's characteristic aromas and flavours, followed by a natural malolactic fermentation that imparts smoothness and balance. The wine ages for 4 to 6 months on its fine lees, with frequent bâtonnage enriching its structure and adding subtle complexity while preserving the freshness and authenticity of this indigenous Sicilian variety.

Santa Tresa Rina Russa Frappato is a wine of impeccable quality, with a thoroughly sustainable approach and remarkably affordable.
