About Més que Paraules Negre

Més Que Paraules Negre is a red wine from Pla de Bages produced by the Més Que Paraules winery. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha Tinta and Sumoll.

The grapes for Més Que Paraules Negre undergo a traditional method. The different varieties are processed separately.

Once in the winery, grapes are macerated for a month at controlled temperatures. After, a spontaneous fermentation process is carried out for about two weeks at 25 degrees. Més Que Paraules Negre is then fermented in stainless steel.

This wine is finally aged for between 10 and 12 months in French oak barrels of first and second year of 225 litres before resting in bottle and being sold.

Bages is a historic area for producing good wines. The Més Que Paraules team, formed by entrepreneurs and wine lovers, has given a new impetus to the designation of origin.

2020

Més que Paraules Negre 2020 is a succulent red wine, boasting a cherry-red hue with a luminous garnet edge. On the nose, it is fruity and pronounced, with ripe and wild red fruits that mature into floral notes, prominently violet, alongside sweet spices, tobacco, and cocoa. On the palate, it is flavoursome and profound, opulent and exotic, with smooth, well-balanced tannins. The acidity is delightfully rich. It concludes with a lengthy, enduring finish featuring toasted fruits.
2016 Més que Paraules Negre 2016 is a deep, complex and elegant red wine. A warm vintage that stands out due to its more fruity character. On the palate it is meaty and full, with a more lingering finish than usual.
2012 Tasty and intense, with good acidity and sweetness. Very good entry and a long finish and persistent end. The notes of fruit and oak are balanced

Intense cherry red with maroon trim. Fine tear and high layer.

Notes of ripe red fruit and hints of the barrel. Balsamic touches and wood, cocoa and snuff. It's intense.
2008 A tasty inviting red wine from Pla del Bages. A wine with a good attack, not as powerful as in previous years, which announces a silky, very tasty mid palate, with notes of ripe fruit. Perfectly balanced wine with a good acidity, integrated tannins and a nice finish.

Dark cherry colour with thin red edges and thin tears that stain the glass slightly.

Well balanced and nice aromas with a good intensity. Its grassy notes and its very fragrant flowers (violets) give way to fleshy notes of mellow ripe red fruit mixed with very good toasted hints and sweet spices wrapped in creamy aromas. Fresh balsamic background.
2007 Good, powerful and warm attack and a tasty mid palate, full of notes of fruit, creamy toasted touches and spices. Its balanced acidity provides it with a good freshness. Sweet and integrated tannins and a good finish with a remarkable persistence. Very nice and elegant wine that invites to enjoy it.

Intense dark cherry colour with violet reflections. High layer. Very bright wine with abundant tears.

Good intensity with a wide range of flavours: lots of red fruit, which gains in sweet jam nuances, along with elegant floral aromas and good toasted touches. When it opens up, lots of spicy notes appear along with its sweet balsamic and milky aromas on its elegant mineral background.
2006

In the mouth it is structured and voluminous. The tannin is soft and tasty. Has a long finish and return the fruity notes.
