About Baron de Ley 7 Viñas Reserva

Baron de Ley 7 Viñas Reserva is a red wine crafted from the grape varieties garnacha tinta, tempranillo, graciano, viura, mazuela, garnacha blanca, and malvasía by the winery Baron de Ley in the DOCa. Rioja.

Baron de Ley is part of a group with wineries in various appellations such as Rioja, Cigales, and VT Castilla-León. Situated in a former 16th-century Benedictine monastery in the village of Mendavia (Navarra), it boasts over 600 hectares of vineyards planted with diverse grape varieties. A winery that merges tradition and modernity to produce wines in the Bordeaux style.

All the grapes for Baron de Ley 7 Viñas Reserva come from a single vineyard. Vines over 70 years old where seven different varieties coexist. When the grapes reach their optimal ripeness, they are hand-harvested in 300 kg crates and brought directly to the winery, preventing unwanted fermentations and oxidations.

Once the grapes enter the winery, they are sorted on selection tables. Four separate vinifications are carried out by variety, with different temperatures and durations. Similarly, each of the four wines undergoes aging separately for 36 months in various types of barrels. Finally, Baron de Ley 7 Viñas Reserva matures in a 10,000-liter French oak foudre for 12 months.

Baron de Ley 7 Viñas Reserva is a red wine resulting from a coupage with a classic profile.
