About Terra 00 Tensión Vernatxa Blanca

When we refer to a 0.0 wine, we typically envisage an alcohol-free product. However, when discussing Terra 00, "zero" assumes a far deeper significance: zero intervention, zero external additives, and an unwavering respect for nature and the terroir. It originates in Vilalba dels Arcs, in the heart of Terra Alta, to the south of Catalonia, a region boasting a millennia-old winemaking tradition.

Terra 00 Tensión Vernatxa Blanca is a vibrant embodiment of this philosophy. This wine speaks of its variety, the garnacha blanca or vernatxa, and the distinctive character of its terroir.

Crafted at an altitude of 410 metres, with organic certification and biodynamic practices, every aspect of the winemaking process is designed to convey the landscape directly into the bottle. The grapes are meticulously harvested in boxes and cold-macerated with the skins for two days. Following the joint fermentation of the must and skins, the free-run wine rests for approximately three months in 1000-litre clay amphorae before being bottled unfiltered and unclarified. The outcome is a wine that embodies the essence of the terroir, a pure reflection of the garnacha blanca and the enchantment of Terra Alta.
