About Sentits Blancs

Sentits Blancs is an organic white wine from the D.O. Catalunya produced by the Puiggròs winery. This wine is made exclusively with the Garnacha Blanca variety.

The grapes used to produce Sentits Blancs come from vines over 50 years old. The vineyards are situated in Ódena, in the comarca of Anoia, growing at altitudes between 450 and 650 metres and are home to calcareous-clay soils. Once the grapes are at the optimum point of maturation, the harvest is carried out manually, avoiding any damage of breakage that could affect the quality of the fruit.

Once the grapes for Sentits Blancs are transported to the winery, alcoholic fermentation is carried out in barrels, which helps provide the character that defines this wine. Once the various phases of the winemaking process have been carried out, the wine is aged on its lees for 5 months in new French oak barrels. Sentits Blancs is then bottled without being filtered, therefore it is not unlikely to find impurities in the final product. 1,440 bottles of Sentits Blancs are produced per year.

The Puiggròs winery produces wines using only grapes from their organically cultivated vineyards. The winery produces 8,000 bottles per year, a third of which are exported to outside of Spain.

2017 Sentits Blancs 2017 is a mature, rounded and elegant white wine. A mature vintage, displaying all its aromatic potential, ripe white fruit with subtle notes of flowers and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is structured, full and lingering.
2014 Right from the outset, it is robust and concentrated. Delightfully meaty with an impressive length. Boasting superb acidity, it culminates in an extensive and enduring finish.

Straw yellow with gleaming golden highlights. Enticing tear.

White fruit notes complemented by floral and tropical undertones. Citrus nuances and hints of dried fruit.
2012 Great attack in the mouth, very bulky, dense and fleshy. Good mid-palate with a marked fruity character, and a defined and long acidity. Final and persistent finish with a pleasant aftertaste, which is a little bit bitter and fruity. Elegant toasted hints at retro-olfaction.

Beautiful lemon yellow colour with subtle golden reflections. Abundant tear.

Very fragrant and aromatic nose in which very ripe white fruit with pit stands out along with floral reminiscences. Tropical notes, citrus fruits’ skins and dried fruits appear when it is opened.
