Henri Giraud Blanc de Craie is a brut sparkling wine crafted by Champagne Henri Giraud within the esteemed French appellation of AOC Champagne, in Champagne, utilizing the white varietal chardonnay.
 
Champagne Henri Giraud is a winery nestled in the very heart of Champagne, specifically in the town of Aÿ, with origins that trace back to the 17th century. Currently, the 12th generation continues to produce champagnes that are the result of their Grand Cru vineyards. These sparkling wines are distinctive in that they are vinified in barrels to enhance their elegance and intensity.
 
Henri Giraud Blanc de Craie is sourced from the estate's own vineyards, classified as Grand Cru. Located in the Marne Valley, the soils are primarily sandy and clayey. Traditional farming methods are employed, and the harvest is carried out at the optimal moment of grape maturity.
 
When the grapes of Henri Giraud Blanc de Craie are pressed, the resulting must ferments in wooden barrels at a controlled temperature for 12 months. A 10% of reserve wines is added, followed by a second fermentation in the bottle, using the traditional method. After aging on the lees for 24 months, the bottle is disgorged and the dosage added.
