About Finca Sandoval

Finca Sandoval is a red wine from Manchuela produced by the winery that bears his name. Finca Sandoval is the personal project of Victor de la Serna, chronicler of wines along with the winemaker Rafael Orozco.

The farm has 10 hectares of vineyards in four different terroirs of different soil types and different orientations. The main objective is to achieve maximum varietal expression and complexity. Finca Sandoval is a blend of foreign varieties, e.g. Syrah, and native varities such as Bobal and Monastrell. Each variety is vinified separately and is aged in different barrels. The result is a wine with personality obtained from the perfect blend of all terroirs, variety and different types of oak.

2021

Finca Sandoval 2021 is a red wine that captivates with its sophisticated cedar and violet bouquet, enhanced by subtle umami nuances and a balsamic quality. On the palate, it is voluptuous and rich, delivering an all-encompassing texture that sets it apart. Its succulent profile evokes ripe fruits, crafting a balanced and somewhat robust experience. This wine is perfect for those in pursuit of bold flavors and a pronounced palate presence.

It is a sweet wine with an integrated acidity. It is meaty, tasty and complex.



Cherry colour with a garnet rim of medium intensity.



It is a wine that needs time to express itself. Toasted and mineral notes are accompanied by rather ripe fruit and a touch of violets, typical of well ripened Syrah.
2008 An appetising, fleshy, tasty and complex with with a well-integrated acidity. 

A picota cherry colour with a maroon rim. Medium intensity. 

This red wine needs time to express itself. Toasted notes and minerals are perceived, followed by ripe fruit and a touch of violet, typical in well-ripened Syrah grapes. 
2007 Very good wine, which seduces us from the first plunge. It coats the mouth with intense notes of very sweet ripe black fruit and creamy notes provided by the oak. It has a velvety mid palate with an excellent acidity that provides the right freshness to the wine. It is perfectly balanced and its polished tannins are fully integrated. Very long and very persistent finish.

Beautiful dark cherry colour with purple edges. Very bright wine with a high layer and dense tears.

Powerful and very pleasant aromas. The notes of ripe and juicy black fruit take centre stage along with the aromatic touches of flowers and the elegant roasted aromas. When it opens up, its sweet spicy notes are released and the notes of fruit become more sweeter. They are noticed along with some mineral aromas and notes of the terroir.
2006 The mouthfeel is medium bodied with good acidity, fresh, flavorful and expressive, with a good fruit, silky tannins and a long finish.

Cherry pillory practically opaque.

Aroma of good intensity, a bit closed at first, with notes of charcoal in the foreground (peat), black fruit and floral memories.
