About Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay

Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay is a wood-aged white wine made by Domaine Drouhin with the Chardonnay variety in the AVA Dundee Hills, Oregon (USA).
 
Domaine Drouhin, a historic Burgundy winery, was set up in Oregon in 1987 with the aim of discovering the potential of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties outside of France. Run by Véronique Boss-Drouhin, the fourth generation Drouhin, they produce distinctive, elegant and long-living wines that are well-known around the world. 
 
Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay comes from vineyards located in the Dundee hills, by the Willamette River. These vines are planted in iron-rich soils and sustainably cultivated. With LIVE certification (Low Input Viticulture and Enology), they focus on conserving natural resources by reducing the amount of raw materials used. Their work is carried out manually and the grapes are harvested in small bags. 
 
In the winery, the Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay grapes are pressed in whole bunches. Part of the resulting must ferments with native yeasts in French oak barrels, with the rest in stainless steel tanks. 
 
The result of a deep understanding of the French Chardonnay variety, Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay is a fresh, energetic and lively wine made in the spectacular Oregon wine region. 
 
2018

Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay 2018 is a sumptuously creamy white wine. On the nose, it exudes an air of sophistication and complexity, with aromatic layers of pear, apple, cardamom, and coriander. The palate is marked by precision and harmony, featuring a delicate and smooth texture. 
2017

Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay 2017 is a creamy white wine with aromas of ripe white fruit, notes of white flowers and hints of honey and spices. On the palate it is unctuous, vibrant and very balanced. A wine with fresh acidity and spicy fruit that, although full-bodied, is lively with a long, citrusy finish.
