About Viña Zorzal Señora de las Alturas Rosado

If you have ever wandered through a vineyard in Navarra and heard the melodious song of a thrush, you will understand why the Sáenz brothers chose this bird as the emblem of their winery. The thrush is not only agile and elegant, but it also conveys lightness, freedom, and vitality, qualities that Viña Zorzal strives to reflect in each of their bottles.

The Sáenz brothers have made Navarra their home and their laboratory for old vine Garnachas. With a clear philosophy of producing fresh, vibrant wines with personality, their Señora de las Alturas Rosado is a perfect example of this passion. A single-vineyard wine that comes from the Garnacha Gris vines of their Pontigos estate. A high-altitude terroir, where the cooler climate and slow ripening enhance acidity, aromas, and complexity. Hence the name of the wine, a tribute to the nobility of the vineyard, the queen of the place.

In its production, Señora de las Alturas Rosado adheres to the ecological and minimal intervention philosophy of Viña Zorzal. Everything is done by hand, both in the vineyard and the winery. The cultivation of Garnacha Gris is organic, and its spontaneous fermentation uses native yeasts, without unnecessary rackings, and without filtration or fining. As a result, they present us with a pure, authentic rosé full of character. Undoubtedly, an ode to nature, to Garnacha, and to the passion for winemaking.
