About Musar Jeune Rosé
Musar Jeune Rosé is a young rosé wine made by the Château Musar Lebanese winery in the Bekaa valley with the Mourvèdre and Cinsault varieties.
The Château Musar winery was founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar in the town of Ghariz, half an hour from the Lebanese capital. It is a family project that has been passed down generation to generation and is now run by the founder’s grandchildren, who are keeping the legacy alive. Their way of doing things is based on the Bordeaux style and adapted for one of the most fertile places in the world, the Bekaa Valley.
Musar Jeune Rosé comes from 20-year-old vines planted at an altitude of between 1,000 and 2,000 metres above sea level. They are planted in soils composed of limestone and cultivated using organic agriculture. The grapes are influenced by significant temperature variation between day and night, which means that when the harvest comes around, the yield is low but highly concentrated.
The Musar Jeune Rosé grapes are vinified using the ‘saignée’ method. After a short maceration with the skins, the must ferments spontaneously at a controlled temperature with native yeasts in concrete and steel tanks. It remains in the stainless steel tanks with lees for a few months before being bottled.
Musar Jeune Rosé is a young rosé made by one of the leading wineries in Bekaa, a valley with a long winemaking history, dating back to the Phoenicians, a history that Château Musar has managed to convey very well.

| 2015 | Musar Jeune Rosé 2015 is a concentrated rosé with expressive aromas of red fruit, almond notes and a floral rosé background. On the palate it is smooth, rounded and fresh. The mid-palate reveals delicious fruity and floral flavours. The finish is pleasant and long. | |
