About Domaine Gramenon La Belle Sortie

An increasing number of individuals are embracing the concept of sustainability in their daily lives. A staunch advocate of this approach, winemaker Maxime-François Laurent promotes a connection with nature by cultivating his own food and rearing his own livestock. Similarly, his wines, natural and biodynamic, perfectly embody this work philosophy, staunchly defending the connection with nature, health, and awareness of the importance of preserving our planet. At his winery, Domaine Gramenon, established in 1978 in the French town of Montbrison-sur-Lez (Southern Côtes du Rhône), he tends his vineyards with such care and precision that he boldly chooses to bottle all his wines without added sulfites, thus maintaining their natural purity and freshness.

A prime example of this exceptional work is found in Domaine Gramenon La Belle Sortie. A red wine made from the Grenache variety, sourced from old vines planted at an altitude of 350 meters on clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is managed organically with biodynamic treatments, coexisting with animals and other crops as naturally as possible. When the grapes reach their optimal ripeness, Laurent opts to hand-harvest with selection in the vineyard itself. In the winery, the grapes undergo a 15-week maceration in cement tanks where they ferment with indigenous yeasts, and afterward, the wine is aged for 6 months in these same tanks. It is then bottled unclarified, unfiltered, and without the addition of sulfites.

Under a label that translates to "the beautiful exit," Domaine Gramenon La Belle Sortie offers a natural alternative for enjoying a splendid environment without harming the ecosystem. Freshness, purity, and fruity fragrances from a small and distinctive production.
