About Colet A Priori Brut

Colet A Priori Brut is a sparkling wine with D.O.Penedés, produced by the winery Colet Vins in Pacs del Penedés, located 40 km from Barcelona.

It has been more than two centuries since the Colet family started to look after their vineyards, located in the heart of Penedés. However, it was not until the beginning of the nineties that the brand Colet Vins was born.
Josep and Sergi Colet, who currently manage the family-run business, have prepared their wines with a traditional production system since the very beginning, but also taking advantage of the most modern and respectful cultivation and winemaking techniques.
It is worth mentioning that they were one of the first wineries to leave the D.O. Cava aside and attain the D.O. Penedés, currently Clàssic Penedès. This means that its sparkling wines are organic, that they are left 15 months in the bottle and that their label indicates their disgorgement date.

Colet A Priori Brut is a sparkling wine produced using the traditional method, with the Maccabeu, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Muscat varieties from their own vineyards.
The winemaking process for base wines is performed in stainless steel deposits, under controlled temperature. Each variety undergoes this process separately. Once the coupage has been completed, the second fermentation begins, with a minimum ageing time of 18 months.

Colet A Priori Brut is an aromatic, fresh and elegant sparkling wine. It is ideal for any time of the day.

Colet A Priori Brut 2022 is akin to a sunbeam captured in a glass, with its brilliant yellow hue that immediately captivates the eye. On the nose, it unveils a remarkable aromatic expression reminiscent of a basket of fresh fruits, with prominent notes of green apples and citrus hints of lemon and grapefruit. Upon tasting, the palate is enlivened by a sparkling freshness that melds with a delightful sensation of creaminess and a balanced acidity, enticing one to savour it to the very last drop. The 2022 vintage has imbued this sparkling wine with a vibrant and alluring character, making it an outstanding choice for aficionados of refined and joyous sparkling wines.
In the mouth it is fresh, letting feeling of oiliness and acidity.
