About Òrbita Venus Trepat

Each generation has its iconic cartoons, and in the 1980s, "Mazinger Z" was everything. The series became a social phenomenon that dominated playgrounds, with children imitating the epic robot battles. The plot follows Koji Kabuto, a young man who inherits control of a gigantic robot named Mazinger Z, built by his grandfather to confront the evil Dr. Hell and his army of mechanical beasts. Throughout his struggle, Koji is aided by allies such as Sayaka Yumi, who pilots her own robot, Aphrodite A. However, what truly defined an entire generation was the legendary battle cry: "Rocket Punch!". This technique, one of the most memorable in the series, symbolised the immense strength and power of Mazinger Z. Inspired by this golden era, the winemaker René Barbier Meyer (of Clos Mogador and Venus La Universal) pays homage with his wine collection "Rocket Punch" in his new venture, Òrbita Venus. A bold proposal, born from risk, fun, and learning, capturing the disruptive spirit of a generation that grew up dreaming of steel heroes and epic battles.

With the idea of presenting a distinctive trepat that reflects both complexity and lightness, Òrbita Venus Trepat is a single-varietal wine from two vineyards managed by the young winemakers of Succès Vinícola in DO Conca de Barberà. (Tarragona). One part is made with 100% whole cluster fermentation, undergoing a very short maceration without sulphur, while the other part is also made with whole clusters and whole berries but with a longer maceration lasting between one and two months. Finally, everything is pressed and aged in cement for 18 months.

Òrbita Venus Trepat reflects the innovative essence of a winemaker determined to make a difference in every detail. A red wine with a fresh and creative vision where the bold design and style do not go unnoticed.

Òrbita Venus Trepat 2021 is a light red wine, with only 11% alcohol content. On the nose, it features aromas of crisp red fruits such as strawberries and cherries, accompanied by a hint of spice. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with balanced acidity that highlights its fruity character. Perfect for enjoying in a relaxed and uncomplicated manner.
