Martín Códax Vindel 2022 reveals a brilliant, intense yellow hue. On the nose, it unfurls aromas of stone fruits, ripe apple, and quince, intertwined with lactic notes and spices such as cinnamon and caramel, offering a truly complex bouquet. About Martín Codax Vindel

Martín Códax Vindel is a white wine produced by the winery Martín Códax in Vilariño (Pontevedra). D.O. Rías Baixas.

The Martín Códax winery was created in 1986 under the name Cooperativa de Cosecheiros de Albariño de Vilariño-Cambados. It was not until 1996 when this cooperative became a Public Limited Company (S.A.) and changed its name to the current one.

The winery took the name of a famous troubadour from Galicia, Martín Códax, whose songs are some of the oldest in the entire Galician-Portuguese language.
 

Martín Códax is located at the top of the Burgáns hill, in the heart of the Salnés valley. Its facilities, always under continuous expansion and refurbishment, are modern and up-to-date. Its wines reflect the tradition and character of the area, providing a more modern and updated vision.

Martín Códax Vindel is a white wine made with Albariño from the plot Agro de Tremoedo, cultivated through extreme viticulture aimed at low yielding vineyards, 35hL/Ha.

The harvest is carried out manually. Once at the winery, the grapes ferment in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature, 17ºC, un 225-litre French oak barrels. Once the fermentation has ended, the wine goes through a reductive ageing in stainless steel deposits for at least a year.

Martín Códax Vindel 2020 is a white wine that on the nose offers intense aromas of ripe fruits such as apple or quince, accompanied by sweet notes reminiscent of caramel or cinnamon and a subtle lactic touch. On the palate it expresses its elegant complexity through a pleasant, silky volume, reaffirming its fruity presence, with a delicious white chocolate nuance and precise, refreshing acidity.
2019 Martín Códax Vindel 2019 is an exquisite white wine that, upon olfaction, unveils scents reminiscent of stone fruits, quince, and ripe apple, complemented by sweet spice notes such as cinnamon, along with nuances of caramel and dairy. Its palate is expansive and silky. This white wine is well-structured, intense, and sophisticated in complexity.
2015 Martín Códax Vindel 2015 is a full, mature wine with character. A very good vintage that displays all the fruity character of this wine. Aromas of white stone fruit, floral notes and a touch of citrus on the nose. On the palate it has volume and sweetness and is very lingering.
