For those who have already made it a habit, vermouth hour on the weekend is non-negotiable. However, the approach is more flexible. Some seek the robustness of traditional dark recipes, while others prefer the brightness, citrus freshness, and more delicate profile of white herbs. In the village of Bràfim, the Padró family has been crafting wines and spirits since 1886, understanding that an aperitif is much more than a drink. It is a moment of pause, an unhurried conversation, and an everyday pleasure. Vermouth Padró Blanco Reserva is born from this century-old vocation, elevating the midday ritual with a luminous, complex, and profoundly refined offering.

From the locality of Bràfim, in the Alt Camp region (Tarragona), this vermouth captures the essence of the Mediterranean landscape. The grapes come from vineyards situated at a low altitude above sea level, where the marine influence softens the climate and imparts a gentle character to the fruit. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils, balanced terrains that retain the necessary freshness to produce wines with an agile profile and good acidity. The climate is purely Mediterranean, marked by warm, sunny summers and mild winters. For the production of the base wine, a combination of traditional local white grapes is used, cultivated under a philosophy of environmentally respectful agriculture and harvested manually to ensure the quality of the raw material.

The production of Vermouth Padró Blanco Reserva combines precision winemaking with traditional botany. First, a light and balanced base white wine is crafted. Into it is infused a carefully selected array of botanicals, aromatic plants, and citrus peels, prominently featuring wormwood, marjoram, sage, and bitter orange peel. After this maceration process, in which the wine absorbs all the essential oils and aromatic nuances of the plants, the vermouth is transferred to French oak casks of various uses. There it undergoes several months of aging, a period of rest in wood that allows the blend to round out, soften the natural bitterness of the herbs, and impart notes of vanilla and fine spices. Finally, it is clarified and bottled to preserve all its freshness intact.
