About Viñas de Anna Chardonnay

Viñas de Anna Chardonnay is a white wine from the DO Catalunya produced by Codorníu.

Codorníu was the name of a family of winemakers whose tradition can be traced back to the 16th century. In 1872, the Codorníu family allied with the Raventós family, and together they began producing cava in the Penedès with the establishment of the Codorníu winery in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona).

Codorníu is one of the leading wineries in Spain. A giant that produces vast quantities of bottles without neglecting the quality that has characterized it since its founding.

Viñas de Anna Chardonnay is a wine crafted from Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer grapes from various plots with a great diversity of soils.

The harvest of Viñas de Anna Chardonnay is conducted at night to prevent oxidation of the grapes, thereby preserving all their qualities. Once in the winery, and following a gentle pressing, Viñas de Anna Chardonnay ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C. After the fermentation process is complete, Viñas de Anna Chardonnay rests for a few months in stainless steel tanks before being bottled.
