Vermouth Carpano Antica Formula is a vermouth which on the nose offers spicy notes and aromas of citrus and nuts accompanied by a hint of vanilla. The palate is round, pleasant, delicate and flavorsome, where the vanilla notes are reaffirmed to accompany the flavors of bitter orange, dates, cocoa and saffron. It’s a vermouth which elegantly balances sweetness and bitterness.

About Vermouth Carpano Fórmula Antica

Antonio Benedetto Carpano is considered to be the father of contemporary vermouth . In 1786, this Italian distiller and herbalist created the formula that originated the category of drinks we know today as vermouth. Carpano Antica Formula is the origin, the oldest premium vermouth. 
 
Antonio had his shop in Turin, in front of the Royal Palace, and he was so sure of the goodness of his creation that he didn’t hesitate to send a basket with his product to King Vittorio Amedeo III. The vermouth was immediately appreciated by the sovereign, generating a success that spread all over the world and which lasts until today.
 
Vermouth Carpano Antica Formula is the Italian vermouth par excellence. An old treasure, with an unmistakable flavor, which stands out thanks to its unique bouquet and unmistakable vanilla notes.
 
It’s made from a careful selection of white wines from Romagna, Puglia and Sicily and a blend of numerous aromatic plants obtained through hot infusions or cold extractions, thanks to methods handed down through generations which faithfully follow the original formula. In this vermouth , the presence of high quality saffron used in its preparation and which comes from Iran, attributed with antioxidant and aphrodisiac properties, stands out.
