About Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva

There are wines that are crafted only in the finest vintages, and Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva is among them. 
 
Only the crème de la crème. Just two clusters from each vine (hence its name). Every detail is meticulously attended to during the creation of this single-varietal tempranillo, distinguished by its extensive ageing over several years, making it one of the most exclusive wines from Bodegas Valduero.
 
Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva originates from El Peñón and El Cascorral, two estates located in the Burgos village of Gumiel del Mercado, within the DO. Ribera del Duero, where vineyards over 70 years old are found. These ancient vines, with low yields but exceptional quality, thrive in clay and limestone soils, at altitudes ranging from 820 to 888 metres, and are cultivated with the utmost care. 
 
Understandably, clusters of such quality must be tended to with extreme care, which is why the harvest is carried out manually, with the grapes being transported to the winery. There, once again, Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva undergoes an exhaustive selection process and the grapes are crushed, producing the harvest pulp which is then transferred to fermentation tanks. Once the Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva wine is achieved, it is racked into barrels where it will undergo an extended ageing process over several years. This touch, which adds to the exclusivity of Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva, enhances the characteristics of this red, which complements its maturation with several more years in the cellar.

2015

Valduero Dos Racimos Gran Reserva 2015 is a wine that dazzles with its deep garnet hue. As you bring the glass closer, a spectrum of aromas unfolds, reminiscent of the warmth of home: smoky notes, hints of fig bread, the sweetness of toffee, and a subtle touch of leather. On the palate, its intensity is astonishing, with a texture that envelops the mouth and tannins that remain vibrant despite the passing years. The aftertaste is long and persistent, beckoning for another glass. This 2015 vintage is exceptional, offering a complexity and maturity that make it unforgettable, a tribute to patience and time well spent.
2014

Valduero Gran Reserva 2014 is a red wine of character and elegance. On the nose, it features aromas of ripe fruits such as plums and blackberries, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, it presents a robust structure with well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish. Its aging in barrel imparts a complexity that is appreciated with every sip, making this wine an ideal choice for those seeking depth and richness in their wines.
2004 Elegant and powerful wine with great intensity, which increases as it passes through the mouth. It has a wide and powerful attack and a velvety, tasty, fresh and dry mid palate. Its aromatic complexity is felt once more dominated by the aromas of ripe fruit and fine woods. Well bodied wine with high quality integrated tannins, which still need some time to finish polishing. Excellent acidity and a very long, very intense and very persistent finish.

Deep maroon red, with light tile red edges. Clean and bright wine with elegant tears.

Intense and complex aromas. Its deep notes of ripe black and red fruit are mixed with the smoky aromas and the hints of coffee, chocolate and leather with a touch of undergrowth. In the background, a subtle and elegant minerality is felt along with its good balsamic aromas.
