The esteemed London magazine Noble Rot has proclaimed it loud and clear! In one of its publications, it boldly asserts that Tenuta di Carleone Uno might be none other than Tuscany's answer to the legendary Haut-Brion of Bordeaux. A resounding accolade for a wine that has managed to capture the unique essence of the Tuscan terroir in a truly impressive manner. Under the guidance of Karl Egger and Sean O'Callaghan, the creators of the winery Tenuta di Carleone, this wine is born from a clear vision: to craft a classic sangiovese with a modern twist, through organic and biodynamic practices that respect the natural balance of the environment.
Tenuta di Carleone Uno is a blend of 100% sangiovese grapes sourced from vines nestled among wooded hills, rivers, and fertile plains. After manual harvesting, the finest grapes from all the vineyards are meticulously selected without blending, and maceration occurs over 40-60 days. Subsequently, the wine matures for 18 months in a combination of new tonneaux, cement, and stainless steel. With minimal sulphur addition and bottled unclarified and unfiltered, it achieves a sophistication that rivals the great classics of the world.
If you are a lover of the world's great wines, now is the perfect moment to give Tenuta di Carleone Uno a chance. Could this be the next great wine to make history? The critics are already talking... You can be part of this moment!
