About Partida Creus Garrut

Partida Creus Garrut is a red wine without denomination of origin produced by the winery Celler Partida Creus in Bonastre (Baix Penedés), Tarragona.

Celler Partida Creus is a small winery created by Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori in an industrial warehouse that was renovated with recycled materials. Partners and producers of Slow Food apply this philosophy to the vineyard, respecting nature to the fullest and recovering old traditions in the lands they cultivate.
Celler Partida de Creus has small plots with narrow rows of vines, thus avoiding invasive mechanical work. This, alongside the absence of chemical treatments, emphasizing biodynamic cycles and moon phases, result in a very limited production of grapes of an excellent biological quality.

Partida Creus Garrut is a natural wine made with Garrut of own vineyards located in the Sitgetí farm, planted on loamy-clayey, limestone and very stony soils.
Harvest is performed by hand. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they are completely destemmed to undergo the maceration for three days with treading every three hours. The grapes ferment with local yeasts in stainless steel deposits. Here, the wine rests for 4 months with its fine lees. Then, the wine is aged for 20 months in oak barrels.
2016 Partida Creus Garrut 2016 is an expressive, deep and juicy wine. On the nose, this vintage stands out for the ripe black fruit aromas with spicy and soft toasted notes of the ageing. In the mouth, it has volume, it is easy to drink and very long.
