About Moreau-Naudet Chablis

Moreau-Naudet Chablis is an organic white wine made by Domaine Moreau-Naudet with the Chardonnay variety in the AOC Chablis (Burgundy).

Stéphane Moreau was someone who knew, like no one else, exactly how to create excellent expressions of some of the best parts of Chablis. However, he unfortunately passed away too soon in September 2016. That is when his wife Virginie Moreau took charge of Domaine Moreau-Naudet, continuing with her husband’s vision. The wines are long aging but easy to drink.

Moreau-Naudet Chablis comes from vineyards located in the towns of Préhy and Courgis, in southern Chablis (Burgundy). These vines are 20-30 years old and cultivated according to ecological principles and with a limited yield of around 35 hl / ha. When the grapes are fully ripe, they are harvested manually.

In the winery, the Moreau-Naudet Chablis grapes are meticulously selected. They are then gently pressed for 4 hours and the resulting must ferments with native yeasts. Finally it remains on its lees to develop excellent texture, depth and quality.

Moreau-Naudet Chablis is a white wine from a unique terroir, and although the grapes age for a long time, the wines are not heavy. A Montmains Premier Cru with substance and balance.

2017 Moreau-Naudet Chablis 2017 is a profiled white wine with aromas of ripe stone fruit, citrus fruit and yellow flowers. On the palate it’s seductive, deep and vibrant. A delicious combination of the acidity of citrus notes with hints of salty minerality.
