M. Chapoutier Côte-Rôtie Neve 2025 presents a powerful burst of complex and intoxicating aromas. On the nose, ripe black fruits such as blackberries and plums are prominent, accompanied by a smoky and spicy hint reminiscent of black pepper and cloves. On the palate, it is voluptuous, intensely concentrated, with silky tannins that unfold elegantly. The wood finish imparts notes of vanilla and a subtle toasted touch, extending a pleasant and lingering sensation. About M. Chapoutier Neve

If there were a King Midas in the world of wine, it would be Michel Chapoutier. Everything he touches in his vineyards transforms into magic: grapes that become award-winning wines, clusters that reflect terroir and personality, and barrels that hold centuries of tradition. For over 30 years, he has carried his vision of viticulture across the globe, and his name has become synonymous with excellence, audacity, and 100 Parker points.

Today we delve into one of his treasures: the vineyards situated on the slopes of Neve, in Ampuis (AOC Côte Rôtie), with a south-southeast exposure. On schist soil, Chapoutier practices biodynamic agriculture, harvesting each grape by hand to ensure only the finest reaches the winery.

After destemming, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation for five weeks in concrete tanks, with indigenous yeasts and temperatures not exceeding 30-32°C. During fermentation, pigeages are performed, and in the last three weeks, maceration is completed with a delicate stirring of the lees, adding depth and texture. Finally, the wine rests for 14 to 18 months in French oak barrels, rounding out aromas and flavours until perfection is achieved.

M. Chapoutier Neve is a wine that reflects the terroir of Neve and the unique touch of Chapoutier: intensity, balance, and elegance that seem almost magical. It is little wonder he can be recognized as the King Midas of the vineyards.
