Jura 12 Years Old Single Malt is a Scottish whisky with a coppery-gold hue and warm candied orange highlights that evolve remarkably after resting in the glass for a few moments. On the nose, there is gentle honey, dark chocolate, and creamy vanilla, which open up to delicate citrus and toasted nuts. On the palate, it is balanced and approachable, with peach, brown sugar, and nuances of cocoa and coffee. The evolution allows room for gentle spices like cinnamon and ginger, adding tension without harshness. A subtly smoky and slightly saline undertone recalls its island origin. Jura 12 Years Old Single Malt emerges from that serene isolation. It is distilled in tall stills that refine a clear and radiant spirit, before resting for years in American ex-bourbon oak, where a smooth, almost golden sweetness of ripe fruit and time-polished wood emerges.
