About Judith Beck Bambule! St. Laurent

The word “Bambule” originates from colloquial German and translates to something akin to “uproar,” “frolic,” or “jumble.” This spirit of positive disruption is what Judith Beck has infused into her entire project in Burgenland (Austria). She has transformed the family estate since taking the helm in 2004, embracing biodynamics, yield reduction, manual harvesting, and a conscious minimalism in the winery. Her wines express themselves naturally, without embellishment or artifice, guided solely by nature.

For the production of Bambule! St. Laurent, whole St. Laurent grapes are placed in a 2,000-litre tank, sealed with CO₂, hermetically closed, and left to rest for 3 weeks without cooling, mechanical extraction, or fermentation, except for intracellular fermentation. After this period, the grapes are gently pressed in a small basket press and spontaneously ferment in small wooden barrels. The wine then rests for 8 months in used barrels and is finally bottled unfiltered and without added SO₂.

The result is a St. Laurent that boldly declares its character. Fresh, vibrant, with aromas and flavours, it lives up to its name. Judith Beck Bambule! St. Laurent is a wine that exudes pure exuberance.
