About El Goru Verde

El Goru Verde is a red wine crafted by the winery Ego Bodegas in Jumilla, DO. Jumilla.

Just a few kilometres from the historic centre of Jumilla lies Ego Bodegas. This venture was established with the aim of working with the finest vineyards in the area to obtain the best grapes for producing high-quality wines, true to the variety and representative of the region.

Ego Bodegas boasts 25 hectares of its own vineyards, predominantly planted with the indigenous variety mourvèdre, on ungrafted vines with an average age of 50 years.

The climate of the region is continental, influenced by the Mediterranean to the east and the La Mancha plateau to the west.

El Goru Verde is a wine made from mourvèdre from vineyards with official organic certification. These vineyards have an average age of 25 years.

Harvest is both manual and mechanical. The facilities and vinification process ensure the separation of organic and conventional harvests. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with temperature control to prevent exceeding 26°C, with maceration lasting approximately 15 days. It undergoes ageing in American oak barrels for 2 months.

El Goru Verde is an intense, straightforward, and clean wine that showcases all the characteristics and potential of the variety.
