Tasting notes Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest con Estuche

Whisky (70 cl.).

Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest is a deep golden single malt whisky, seemingly capturing the light of an ancient forest at dusk. On the nose, it is complex and enveloping, with pine, juniper, and coriander, roasted chestnuts, and a delicate whisper of aromatic smoke. On the palate, it reveals itself as lush and herbaceous, with bursts of eucalyptus and mint, brightened by bitter orange and a seductive touch of vanilla and liquorice. The finish is slow, gently woody, and lingering, leaving a citrus echo of lemon and orange that is delightfully intense and evocative.

About Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest con Estuche

What does a Scottish forest taste like when the mist descends and the air is redolent with damp heather and ancient wood? With Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest, Dr. Bill Lumsden—the distillery's modern-day alchemist—transforms that question into a whisky that seems plucked from a Celtic legend.

Since 1843, Glenmorangie has been synonymous with curiosity and excellence in the Highlands, born from the dream of farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne, who established a distillery in a remote corner of Scotland. Its name, which means "Valley of Tranquility" in Gaelic, is no coincidence: it reflects a profound connection to the land and a tradition that, generation after generation, continues to explore new ways to inspire.

In this edition, Glenmorangie revives an ancient method: infusing barley during roasting with forest botanicals. Juniper berries, birch bark, and heather flowers become part of the process, imparting an exuberant and surprising aromatic dimension. The result is an intensely herbaceous single malt, with notes of pine, juniper, and coriander, accompanied by gentle hints of smoke, evolving into green eucalyptus and flashes of bitter orange, culminating in a long, silky finish marked by oak.

Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest is an invitation to leisurely stroll along a leaf-covered path, with the fresh air on your face and the silence of the forest as your companion. Ideal for an intimate evening, to accompany aged cheeses, smoked meats, or simply to let each sip tell its own story... a story where nature becomes legend within a glass.
