About Gaja Alteni di Brassica

The Gaja brand to wine is what Ferrari is to cars. This family winery was founded in 1859 in the Langhe hills of Piedmont and now, with the founder Angelo Gaja’s great-grandson’s geographical vision, they create true formula 1 wines. With their expertise, they combine the best traditions with innovative technologies, and this has made the winery one of the most prestigious in the world.

Proof of Gaja’s stratospheric level of quality can be found in Gaja Alteni di Brassica. A Sauvignon Blanc white wine made in the Serralunga area, in the DOC Langle (Piedmont). The grapes are cultivated using respectful agriculture that maintains the natural balance of the terroir. In the winery, the pressed grapes are fermented with native yeasts and then a third of the wine is aged in stainless steel and the rest in 225 litre French oak barrels for 6 months.

With a charming and delicate acidity, Gaja Alteni di Brassica is a thrilling white wine. A pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc that is great for aging for a few years.

Gaja Alteni di Brassica 2019 is an aromatic white wine with fragrant notes of white fruit accompanied by herbal hints and mineral touches. On the palate it is crisp, fresh and clean. A wine with a casual expression that is very easy to drink thanks to its refreshing and spicy acidity.
