About Entre Vinyes Oníric Brisat Xarel·lo Vermell

In a world governed by progress, velocity, and immediacy, it is no small feat to pause and savor all that surrounds us. María Barrena, a member of Azul y Garanza, and her partner Josep Tort, are true advocates of this way of life in the Natural Park of Foix, in Baix Penedès (Catalonia). For them, the vineyards that have been cultivated for five generations by Josep's family represent far more than mere plots of land. They are a legacy, a heritage of humanity that imbues a unique territory with meaning, deserving of preservation with attentive care and without haste. Through regenerative viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking, their creations are genuine tributes to a region with a deeply rooted vinicultural past.

As a testament to their commitment to the land and their unhurried approach, they present Entre Vinyes Oníric Brisat Xarel·lo Vermell, an orange wine made from the indigenous red xarel·lo variety. Old, low-yielding vines are cultivated using regenerative agriculture that ensures soil fertility and prevents erosion. The harvest is manual, carried out at the optimal moment of ripeness, and once in the cellar, a spontaneous fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks with 2 weeks of skin contact. Afterwards, the wine matures for 3 months partially in 700-liter amphorae and standing tanks. It is finally bottled unfiltered.

Eager to safeguard the past and ensure its continuation through winemaking, Entre Vinyes Oníric Brisat Xarel·lo Vermell is the result of preserving the gestures and learnings of previous generations in the vineyard. It serves as a reminder that true luxury lies in the ability to stop, observe, and honor the enchantment that envelops us.
