Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Ried Kreutles Federspiel is a white wine aged on lees produced by Emmerich Knoll in Wachau (Lower Austria) with the Grüner Veltliner variety.
 
Located in the Loibnerhof, Emmerich Knoll is one of the most famous wineries in Austria. With the characteristic baroque-style label featuring San Urbano from the baroque period dressing some wonderful wines, this winery is one of the driving forces behind positioning Wachau as a high quality wine region. Their popular wines are the result of wonderful terroirs and minimal intervention in the vineyard and the winery. 
 
 
Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Ried Kreutles Federspiel comes from the foot of the Loibenberg. These vines are planted in deep soils of eroded primary rock and alluvial sand from the Danube. Grüner Veltliner vines feel at home here and grow to be fine and elegant. They are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture and all work is manual. 
 
 
The Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Ried Kreutles Federspiel grapes macerate in the winery for 4 to 6 hours and are then gently pneumatically pressed. Fermentation then begins in large 500-litre wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine spends 3 months on its fine lees.

2018 Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Ried Kreutles Federspiel 2018 is a creamy wine with exotic aromas of tropical fruit, spices and hints of smoke. On the palate it is unctuous, silky and seductive. A balanced wine with notes of yellow fruit mixed with notes of brioche and hints of spice.
