About Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso

Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso is a red wine from the DO Toro produced by Dominio del Bendito.

The winery Dominio del Bendito was established in 2004 by the young Frenchman Antony Terryn, after travelling through the world's finest wine regions and finding his place in Toro. The winery boasts 13 hectares of its own vineyards, along with 15 hectares managed with great respect for the natural environment. In the winery, minimal intervention is pursued to achieve the fullest expression of the terroirs.

Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso is crafted entirely from the tinta de toro variety. The grapes are sourced from vineyards aged between 15 and 40 years, as well as from very old vineyards over 45 years of age. The grapes are cultivated following organic principles. For its production, the must of Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso ferments and macerates in small stainless steel and concrete tanks for about 20 days.

After vinification, Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso undergoes several months of ageing in French and American oak barrels, initially alongside its lees. Finally, before being released to the market, it rests in the bottle for at least a couple of months.

The Primer Paso 2019 presents as a supple red wine, exuding ripe black fruit aromas, sweet spiced undertones, and hints of balsamic. On the palate, it is flavorsome, fruit-forward, and profound. It exhibits robust yet velvety tannins and culminates in an extended, harmonious, and vibrant finish.
2013 Potent and fruity. Passing is unctuous with sensations of black fruits. Round tannins and good acidity. Very well-balanced and fresh.
