About Colet Vatua! Brut Nature

Colet Vatua! Brut Nature is a sparkling wine from the DO Penedès, crafted by the winery Colet Vins in Pacs del Penedès, situated 40 km from Barcelona.

For over two centuries, the Colet family has tended to their vineyards in the heart of Penedès, but it wasn't until the early nineties that the brand Colet Vins was established.

Josep and Sergi Colet, leading the family business, have consistently aimed to produce their wines using a traditional production system while simultaneously embracing the most modern and sustainable cultivation and vinification techniques.

It is noteworthy that they were among the first wineries to leave the DO Cava and remain under the protection of DO Penedès, now known as Clàssic Penedès. Consequently, their sparkling wines are organic, aged for a minimum of 15 months in the bottle, and the label indicates the vintage and disgorgement date.

Colet Vatua! Brut Nature is a sparkling wine crafted using the traditional method with the grape varieties moscatell, parellada, and gewurztraminer from their own vineyards.

The vinification of the base wine occurs in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature, with each variety processed separately. Once the blend is made, it undergoes a second fermentation with a minimum ageing of 18 months.

Colet Vatua! Brut Nature is a dry and highly aromatic sparkling wine. As its name suggests, "Vatua" is a Catalan expression used to convey surprise, and it is indeed a wine that will astonish you.
