About Camillo Donati Campai

Every culture has its own way of raising a glass: "Chin chin" in Italy, "Salud" in Spain, "Cheers" in England, or "Kampai" in Japan. Yet they all share the same essence: celebrating happiness, shared moments, and friendship.

Inspired by this diversity and the joy of toasting, Camillo Donati, renowned for his ancestral sparkling wines, takes a bold step: he creates a still wine. As a tribute to his dear Japanese friend Hisato, who has always encouraged him to explore wines without bubbles, he names it Campai, in honour of the Japanese word spoken when toasting.

Fresh, elegant, and full of life, Camillo Donati Campai, is crafted from malvasia and trebbiano, harvested together and vinified with native yeasts, adhering to artisanal methods that respect nature.

In the end, Camillo Donati Campai is a toast that unites cultures, celebrates friendship, and transforms every sip into a moment to raise the glass and say… Kampai!
