About Bruno Giacosa Barolo Falletto

At just 13 years old, Bruno Giacosa was already walking among the rows of the family vineyard, learning to listen to the land and understand the character of each vine. Today, his name resonates as one of the great masters of Piedmont, an artisan of nebbiolo who, with patience and passion, acquired some of the finest plots in the region, carving his own path to excellence. His work reflects not only knowledge and technique but also a profound respect for tradition and the terroir.

Among his most admired creations is a Barolo that many experts place at the forefront of Italian reds: Bruno Giacosa Barolo Falletto. This wine is born from vines situated on steep, southwest-facing slopes, in calcareous soils that lend structure and elegance, with a continental climate that imparts tension and precision to the fruit. The plots are approximately 50 years old with a total area of 10.5 hectares, and controlled yields of 45 hectolitres per hectare ensure concentration and quality.

The vinification respects the essence of nebbiolo. A 25-day maceration and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 32 months of ageing in French oak barrels, which impart complexity and roundness. Before being released to the market, the wine rests for at least 10 months in the bottle, consolidating its character and refining the nuances that make this wine a sublime Barolo.

Bruno Giacosa Barolo Falletto combines power and delicacy, structure and finesse. A Barolo that speaks of Giacosa's mastery and the uniqueness of Piedmont
