Among these stands the estate of Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona in Montalcino, where the true challenge lies in balancing the modern and contemporary with the ability to keep intact the profound charm of authenticity: a region that, for decades, has elevated the prestige of Italian oenology and viticulture.

In this context arises Ciacci Piccolomini Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso, a wine produced only in the finest vintages and exclusively with grapes from the Pianrosso vineyards. It is the wine that has always authoritatively represented the terroir and the name of the winery, a symbol of tradition and excellence.

The Pianrosso vineyards span 11.69 hectares, located on medium-textured soils and galestro of Eocene origin, at altitudes ranging between 240 and 360 metres above sea level, ideal conditions for the cultivation of 100% Sangiovese.

The vinification process combines tradition with modern control. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats and vitrified concrete tanks, with carefully regulated temperatures ensuring that the wine's aromas and structure are optimally expressed. Ageing occurs in oak barrels over an extended period, followed by bottle refinement which guarantees balance, elegance, and depth.
