About Alceño 4 Organic

Alceño 4 Organic is a red wine from D.O. Jumilla produced by Bodegas Alceño. Bodegas Alceño was established in 1870 and is currently managed by the fourth generation of the family.

The climate in the area where the vineyards are located is continental with some Mediterranean influence. Winters are very cold, and summers are extremely hot, with scant rainfall throughout the year.

This wine is a blend of monastrell and syrah grapes from old organic vineyards planted on calcareous soil at altitudes between 600 and 900 metres above sea level.

Regarding the ageing process, Alceño 4 Organic spends 12 months in new French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels. Quarterly rackings are carried out to achieve perfect homogenisation and oxygenation of the wine.

2013 Upon the palate, it manifests as sophisticated, articulate, and exquisitely balanced, a full-bodied wine.

Cherry hue.

The bouquet is dominated by ripe fruits, complemented by impeccably blended oak nuances intermingled with the essences of vanilla.
