Sancerre is a wine region located in the Loire Valley, France, known mainly for its dry white wines made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. Wines from Sancerre are highly valued for their aromatic complexity, elegance and refreshing acidity. The limestone and clay soils of the region are ideal for growing the Sauvignon Blanc grape, with which Sancerre wines are made with aromatic notes of citrus, herbs, flowers and minerals ideal for pairing with a wide variety of dishes, including seafood, poultry, vegetables and light pasta dishes.
