About Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs Trento

Occasionally, great stories emerge from unexpected friendships. This was the case for Giulio Ferrari, the founder of the Ferrari winery in 1902 in the city of Trento, nestled in the heart of the Italian Alps. With a steadfast focus on excellence and no heirs to carry on his legacy, Giulio chose Bruno Lunelli—a wine shop owner in Trento and one of his closest patrons—as his successor. What began as a professional relationship evolved into an alliance that has shaped the winery's destiny for over half a century.

Since then, the narrative of Ferrari has been intricately entwined with the Lunelli family. Each generation—Marcello, Matteo, Camilla, and Alessandro, the third generation—has laboured with the same zeal for excellence, never losing sight of Trentino, their homeland and Giulio's roots. Loyalty, friendship, and a shared vision are interwoven into every bubble that emerges from their cellars.

Among their treasures, Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs Trento stands out, paying homage to the initial labels crafted by Giulio. A Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, cultivated on the slopes of Trentino between 300 and 600 metres above sea level, with southern and southwestern exposure, where the mountainous conditions enhance the grape's freshness and minerality. Following fermentation, the cuvée is refined for 30 months on lees, achieving fine bubbles, elegance, and complexity.

The bottle's design also nods to history: black and white, with the red emblem that has accompanied Ferrari since its inception. Modernity and tradition embrace in a sparkling wine that not only celebrates technique but also the history of a friendship that transformed a winery into the Italian benchmark for quality sparkling wines.
