Elegant and profound, Arzuaga Reserva 2021 is a red wine that unveils a symphony of ripe red fruits intertwined with hints of roasted coffee, fine spices, and a subtle fragrance of noble wood. About Arzuaga Reserva

Arzuaga Reserva is a D.O. Ribera del Duero red wine by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro.
A coupage between Tinto Fino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, made from the old vines of the winery's own "La Planta" estate.
The soil of "La Planta" is clayey and rich in limestone at less than one metre underground. Poor soil and harsh Spanish weather conditions at this altitude result in scarce yields but also in very concentrated wines.
The harvest takes place manually at the grapes' peak ripening stage in 15-kg boxes. After passing through a sorting table, part of the grapes are de-stemmed separately and later stored in stainless steel tanks together with the rest of the grapes. They are stored there in the cold for a few days until alcoholic fermentation may begin at a temperature of 29º C.
Arzuaga Reserva is aged for 30 months in French and American oak barrels.

Arzuaga Reserva 2018 is a mature red wine with a very full aromatic palette, notes of ripe black fruits, toasted touches and smoky hints. On the palate it is powerful, enveloping and well balanced. A full-bodied wine with great unctuousness, sweet tannins and a persistent silky sensation.

Arzuaga Reserva 2017 is a fruit-driven red. On the nose, it is powerful, exuding scents of blueberries, licorice, coconut, dried herbs, and sandalwood. The palate is velvety and luscious, boasting substantial body and refined tannins. The finish is chewy.
2016

Arzuaga Reserva 2016 is a mature red wine exuding aromas of stewed red fruits, roasted nuances, and smoky hints. On the palate, it is enveloping, velvety, and refined. This wine boasts sweet, well-structured tannins. The finish is extended, with a lingering aftertaste.

2012 Arzuaga Reserva 2012 is a deep, complex and expressive red wine. On the nose this vintage emphasizes the aromas of ripe red fruit, with very marked roasted notes of aging. On the palate it reveals volume, is intense and balanced, and has a very lingering finish.
