This vintage was one of the vineyard’s smallest productions. Araujo Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 is a concentrated red wine with an exuberant nose of creme de cassis, blackberry notes and hints of sweet spices. On the palate it is opulent, fruity and enveloping. This is a rich and full-bodied, but not heavy, wine. It reveals velvety and refined tannins accompanied by a very pleasant freshness. The finish is very long-lasting, with mineral notes and exceptional depth. Can be opened and enjoyed now or saved for 25-30 years or more.

Araujo Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a wood-aged red wine made by Araujo Estate with the Cabernet Sauvignon variety in the AVA Napa Valley denomination.
 
Araujo Estate is one of the leading wineries in the Napa Valley and makes premium small-production wines. Located in Calistoga, California, it was founded by Daphne and Bart Araujo in 1990 but in 2013, it was bought by the Pinault family, who also own Château Latour, Domaine d'Eugénie and Château-Grillet. In 2016 it was renamed the Eisele Vineyard Estate in honour of its large Eisele vineyard, which is an idol among California wine lovers.
 
Araujo Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Eisele, a vineyard named after its first owners in 1964. This is a unique terroir located in a cove protected by the Palisades Mountains. The vineyard lies on an alluvial fan with very rocky, mineral-rich soil that is meticulously cultivated according to biodynamic principles. Their dedication to excellence and attention to detail have made this one of the most respected wine estates in the world. 
 
When the Araujo Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon grapes reach the winery, vinification is carried out in such a way as to try and maintain the purest expression of the berry. To do this, the grapes ferment and macerate at a controlled temperature and then the wine is aged in 225-litre French oak barrels for a minimum of 18 months. 
 
Araujo Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the winery’s flagship wine as well as being considered one of the best wines in Napa. With an average annual production of just 2,000 boxes, this is one of the great treasures that is most sought after by major industry experts.
