About Picchioni Bonarda Vivace Ipazia

Picchioni Bonarda Vivace Ipazia is an organic red wine produced by Picchioni with the Croatina variety in the DOC Oltrepò Pavese in the Lombardy region (Italy). 
 
Picchioni is a young winery but is also one of the most prestigious in Lombardy. Their winemaker Andrea Picchioni is known for his meticulous work in the vineyard and prudence in the winery. Through his work, he grows grapes and produces elegant, pleasant and spectacularly long-living wines that are typical of the local area.
 
Picchioni Bonarda Vivace Ipazia is made from a blend of Croatina grapes that grow on sandy clay soils in the Solinga Valley. They are cultivated using ecological agriculture with organic treatments, and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness. 
 
In the winery, the Picchioni Bonarda Vivace Ipazia grapes ferment gently with a 4-5 day maceration in stainless steel tanks. The wine then undergoes a refining process for a few months in steel before being bottled. 
 
The Picchioni Bonarda Vivace Ipazia wine is a sensory journey through the wonders of the heart of Lombardy. A very ambitious fresh and fruity wine.

Picchioni Bonarda Vivace Ipazia 2019 is a juicy red wine with intense aromas of ripe red and black fruit with notes of violets. On the palate it is fresh, lively and fruity. A wine with fine-grained tannins with sugary residues and a long and very pleasant finish.
