About Box Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé

At the close of the 19th century, Paris embarked on a journey towards modernity that would be irreversible. The advent of electricity, mass transportation, and grand edifices transformed the French capital into the global epicentre of light, art, and the celebration of life. In this atmosphere of boundless optimism, the aesthetic of the Belle Époque was born, a period where beauty and everyday pleasure became a philosophy. To immortalise this spirit, in 1902, the master glassmaker Émile Gallé designed a bottle for the maison Perrier-Jouët adorned with white anemones, turning it into an icon of the Art Nouveau movement. The Estuche Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé contains the most seductive and refined interpretation of this legacy.

From the historic town of Épernay, in the heart of the AOC Champagne, the Estuche Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé epitomises the ultimate expression of a legendary terroir. For this exclusive blend, the winery selects grapes from renowned crus such as Cramant, Avize, Aÿ, Ambonnay, Mailly, and Dizy. The vineyard is situated on deep chalky and porous soils that act as a natural sponge, absorbing water during rainy periods and providing the roots with a steady supply of minerals and moisture.

For the creation of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé, the maison adheres to a meticulous process. After hand-picking, the grapes undergo gentle pressing to extract only the highest quality must. To achieve its characteristic rosé hue and aromatic richness, a portion is vinified through maceration with the grape skins, where pigments and aromas are concentrated. The alcoholic fermentation is conducted in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This is followed by malolactic fermentation, imparting smoothness, stability, and a silkier texture to the base wine. After the blending of the varieties, the champagne is bottled for the second fermentation and aged for a minimum of 6 years in the maison's dark cellars on its fine lees, the inactive yeasts that bestow complexity and creaminess before its final disgorgement.

Estuche Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is luminous, silky, and highly elegant. In its gift box format, it is also an excellent gift choice to indulge in the timeless sophistication of the Belle Époque and the creative universe of Art Nouveau.
