About Manin Perdidas en el Mariñanas

Forging your own path with a distinguished surname in the wine industry is no trivial matter. While Telmo Rodríguez sets the pace for the Spanish elite, Sancho Rodríguez—alongside his wife, Ángela Zozaya—ventures into a different project: Manin y sus Muchachos. Undoubtedly, a remarkable discovery brimming with freshness, authenticity... and a touch of mischief.

With modest productions, they eschew labels and DOs to champion the freedom of "table wines." They cultivate organically four hectares of century-old vineyards in the Sonsierra Navarra, situated between 400 and 700 metres in altitude, spread across three valleys.

Manin Perdidas en el Mariñanas is their "village wine" from Armañanzas (Navarra). It combines garnacha, graciano, viura, garnacha blanca, miguel de arco, granegro, and chasselas across five parcels of clay-limestone soils. Hand harvesting, fermentation with whole clusters—to extract aromas without hardening tannins—and ageing in cement, punctuated with a 400 L French oak barrel that refines the fruit, culminate in a truly authentic wine.

While the winemaking process is pure simplicity, the label embraces contrast. Manin Perdidas en el Mariñanas sports a vibrant, eye-catching orange with bold, crossed-out strokes, reminiscent of spray-painted graffiti on an urban wall. In this way, it not only breaks conventions but also instantly communicates what lies within the bottle. A visual wink that aligns with the philosophy of Sancho and Ángela. In other words, sincerity without embellishments, honesty from the first sip.
