And if anyone has grasped this balance perfectly, it is Nicolas Gauffroy, the new face of a family with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1938.

In the heart of Meursault, one of the most iconic areas of Burgundy (France), lies Domaine Gauffroy, specialising in white wines that exude elegance and character. Nicolas represents the third generation at the helm of the family estate, but rather than simply following the traditional path, he decided to broaden his horizons. He spent five years exploring other wine regions in France, immersing himself in new techniques, ideas, and approaches to wine.

The result? A personal project that honours its roots but is unafraid of evolution.

Under his own name, Nicolas Gauffroy has crafted a range of wines that exude youth, freshness, and energy, yet maintain the Burgundian soul. His Nicolas Gauffroy Meursault Blanc is living proof of this. A wine born from meticulous work: manual harvests, careful selection of Chardonnay grapes, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and an extended maturation of at least 18 months in oak barrels, ensuring the wood does not overshadow the essence of the terroir.
